Recommended steep: 1–2 minutes in water around 70–80°C (158–176°F).
1 minute: Delivers a light, smooth, and slightly sweet cup with fresh, grassy flavors.
2 minutes: Results in a fuller-bodied cup with a more pronounced vegetal flavor, but it may start to introduce mild astringency.
Sencha can become bitter if steeped too long or in overly hot water, so aim for this gentle range for the best flavor. Enjoy the fresh and vibrant character of sencha!
