About us
Course & Wale is a company dedicated to community and good cheer. Inspired by a passion for knitting and the knitters we know and love, we make wine and tea to help share and celebrate everyday moments.
From holidays and get-togethers, to an afternoon tea break with friends, or the satisfaction of completing a perfect row.
Born from the imagination of three friends who wanted to create a wine and tea company that did some good as well as tasting good, Course & Wale tea and wine supports the textile art makers and the philanthropies we hold dear.
Ideal for sharing and gifting, we make carefully crafted products for people who make things for others.
Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable. They typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast. Knitted Knockers’ special volunteer knitters provide these free to those requesting them.
Loose Ends aims to ease grief, create community, and inspire generosity by matching over 28,000 volunteer handwork finishers with projects people have left undone due to death or disability. Loose Ends welcomes textile handwork crafters of all sorts, from anywhere in the world.
Project Knitwell is a recognized leader in therapeutic knitting, has participated in research on the benefits of knitting for oncology nurses, has been featured in The Washington Post, U.S. News, Vogue Knitting Magazine, and other publications.
